Albany Aldermen pass a resolution for the MO Main St. Program

The Albany Board of Alderman met last week. Items on the agenda included approving Mayoral appointments as well as a Resolution for the Missouri Main Street Program. City Administrator Derek Brown says the city unanimously passed a resolution committing resources for a cost sharing grant.

"We passed a resolution endorsing the Missouri Main Street Program.  Here in Albany, there's a local organization that's applying for grant funding through the Missouri Main Street Program to create a downtown revitalization.  We passed a resolution that committed not only the resources for a local match should they be successful and receive that grant, but also just a statement of support in their endeavor."

The next Albany Board of Alderman meeting will be held on August 6th.
