Conception Abbey and Seminary College will host its 24th annual Abbey Trails event next month.
The event will feature a 5k run and 2 mile walk on Saturday, May 4th at 9 a.m. Communications Director for the Abbey, Kaity Holtman, says the route for the run and walk will be a picturesque tour of the Abbey campus.

"So we have people from the local area, but we also have supporters that drive in for the event.  So that's nice to have that variety constituents on campus.  And like I said, those laps that they take around campus they get to enjoy.  Usually spring is in full bloom at that point here at Conception Abbey, so it's a nice morning."

There will also be a health fair to follow the run and walk.  Holtman says this fair will feature several booths and it fits with Conception's health and wellness mission.

"Now we've had a variety of booths over the years and most of them are related to health and wellness.  Usually they come from our sponsoring businesses and organizations.  But we also have usually the local greenhouse from Jefferson FFA is here with us with some of their flower baskets and things like that.  But again local organizations."

The 24th Annual Abbey Trails event at Conception Abbey takes place at 9 a.m. on the Conception Abbey and Seminary College campus.  Registration for the event is open at 7:30 a.m.  For more information visit conceptionabbey.org.
