Winter weather warning into affect Tuesday pm through Wednesday am

Northwest Missouri will experience more winter weather through Wednesday. Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Sarah Atkins says they are expecting five to six inches of snow.

"Right now we are looking at the Maryville and surrounding areas being the areas that are going to see the greatest impact."

A winter storm warning has been issued from 6 p.m. this evening to 9 a.m. Wednesday including Atchison, Nodaway, Worth, Harrison and Gentry Counties.

"Those are the five counties that we anticipate having the greatest impacts right now.  As far as further south towards Chillicothe, we're looking at probably around 3 to 5 inches of snow.  For kind of St. Joe over to Chillicothe and points north and in between Maryville and those areas."
