The South Nodaway Board of Education dealt with the school calendar at its meeting Wednesday evening.
Superintendent Johnnie Silkett says the weather has played a role in changes to the calendar.
"We approved the 2019-2020 calendar which reads 170 days at 1092.8 hours, which next year's calendar will be based upon hours. We also amended the 2018-2019 calendar due to the amount of snow days. The amended calendar would guarantee that our last day of the year would end on May 24th."
The board also approved the hiring of Magen Norcross as the school's social worker.
