More winter weather coming Tuesday

Northwest Missouri will experience more winter weather tomorrow into Wednesday. Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Sarah Atkins says they are expecting five to six inches of snow.

"Right now we are looking at the Maryville and the surrounding areas being the areas that are going to see the greatest impact.  We do have a winter strom watch into effect starting from 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through 9 a.m. Wednesday."

Atkins adds the winter weather watch covers Atchison, Nodaway, Worth, Harrison and Gentry Counties.

"Those are the five counties that we anticipate having the greatest impacts right now.  As far as further south towards Chillicothe, we're looking at probably around 3 to 5 inches of snow.  For kind of St. Joe over to Chillicothe and points north and in between Maryville and those areas."
