Weather forces Maryville Chamber to postpone banquet

A winter storm moving through the area causing icy conditions is forcing the Maryville Chamber of Commerce to postpone its annual banquet.

The banquet, set to be held at the Northwest Missouri State University Union Ballroom, was scheduled for Tuesday night. 

“We are all very disappointed that mother nature didn’t work with us today," chamber executive director Lily White said in a statement, "however we are always more concerned with the safety of our community and members. The Chamber board is working closely with Northwest to pick the best makeup date and will let you all know as soon as possible!”
