The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat Steppers returned home from national competition as double bronze winners.
The Bearcat Steppers traveled to Orlando, Florida this past weekend for the 2019 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship, which took place January 18th - 20th. The steppers competed in 3 events: Game Day, Jazz and Pom.
On the first day of competition, the Steppers placed 3rd in the Game Day Competition, only behind the first place finishers by a few hundredths of a point. On Day 2, the Steppers participated in the Jazz & Pom Pom competitions. Finals took place on Day 3 for those that placed, and the Bearcats placed 3rd in Pom.
The Northwest Bearcat Steppers have won 4 medals and 5 trophies in the last years. For 2019, they are ranked 3rd in the nation for pom and game day.
