The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents approved a new Student Organization Conduct Policy during this afternoon's meeting. Northwest administrators and students met this fall to draft to a new comprehensive policy. Northwest Vice-President of Student Affairs, Dr. Matt Baker, says in the past there were three different processes to govern student organizations.
Baker says a lot of work from all sides made the new policy a reality.
Baker says strengths of the new policy include that it is consistent for all recognized student organizations, incorporates student participation in all aspects of the process, ensures employee engagement and formalizes investigation, hearing and appeal processes.
