The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph holds their annual Sugarplum Festival today through Saturday. To kick off the holiday season as local and regional vendors transform the museum into a "Holiday Gift Gallery". The Sugarplum Festival is a chance to get some early holiday shopping done and pick up some decorating ideas. Marketing and Communications Manger Christy George says this is a great shopping experience.
"We literally take down all the artwork and the art gallery is turned into a holiday gift mart. We have over 40 vendors. It's a fun time to shop unique presents. You can buy anything from jewelry, home decor, kitchenware, clothing, and artwork. It's a lot of really unique fun items that you can't find."
The Sugarplum Festival is open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m today, tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For tickets or more information, contact the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph.
