Roberta Hall to be renovated next summer

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents approved a motion to move up the renovation of Roberta Hall during its meeting Friday.
Northwest Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Matt Baker says Roberta Hall was originally scheduled to be renovated later but some infrastructure issues pushed up the plans.

"About a year, a year and a half ago, we finished the residential life masterplan and looked at the condition of all the residence halls.  You know, all of our resident halls need some kind of assistance, but Roberta was on our list for 2-3 years down the road.  But we've had some deterioration in the bathrooms in the building.  It's creating an infrastructure problem.  There's water infiltration into the building, so we elevated this in terms of timeline to do it hopefully next summer.  We'll begin the process to select an architect to do the design work between now and December/January.  Then we'll go out for a bid with a project that will take place next summer, the summer of 2019."
