'On Golden Pond' begins Wednesday in Macon, MO

The Maples Repertory Theater in Macon is opening a new show this week.
On Golden Pond will begin Wednesday at the Maples Repertory Theatre and run through November 4th. On Golden Pond is a coming of age story that explores the humor and struggles of being an adult child. Artistic Director for Maples Repertory Theatre Todd Davidson says the production will feature actors from both sides of the state of Missouri.

"We hire actors, designers, and directors from all over the United States.  And we're really pleased with our acting group for On Golden Pond.  The lead roles of Ethel and Norman Thayer are played by Judy Mann and James Anthony.  They are a married couple in real life.  They are actors who live in St. Louis now.  We're really excited to have them come up.  From the other side of the state, playing their daughter Chelsea is Ashley Pankow.  She's been with the Maples Repertory Theater a number of times when she was living in New York.  Now she's relocated to Kansas City the last couple of years.  So we're excited to invite her over for that."

On Golden Pond will open Wednesday at Maples Repertory Theater in Macon, MO and run through November 4th.  For more information or tickets call the theater box office at 660-385-2924, visit maplesrep.com or visit the theater at the corner of Rubey and Vine in Macon.
