Maryville City Council approves update to Mozingo bunkers

Mozingo Lake Golf Course's Sechrest 18 will be getting an update to a few of its bunkers.
An ordinance to execute the contract with TSF Construction for the update of 4 or 5 of the 26 bunkers on the Sechrest 18 was passed at last night's Maryville City Council meeting. Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says the update to the bunker system will help decrease workload for the maitenence staff.

".....a considerable amount of time on the bunkers in the course after any rain event simply racking the sand back up.  There is new systems now that keep that in place.  We were actually encouraged on this project to have a private citizen step up - an anonymous donor - and put $10,000 towards this effort.  We'll match that $10,000 with another $10,000 and make some improvements on Sechrest 18."
