Intersection improvements planned for ADA compliance

Intersection improvements along the U.S. Route 169 corridor in St. Joseph will help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted with Amino Brothers, Incorporated to upgrade the pedestrian crossings. One lane of each direction at each of the improvement locations may be closed during the projects. These locations include Riverside Road, Pickett Road , Belt Highway at Commons Drive, Belt Highway at South Walmart, Belt Highway and U.S. Route 36 and Belt Highway and Faraon. Motorists are encouraged to use caution during both these projects as crew will be working in close proximity to the travleing public.
