Changes made to the branding of Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County has announced some changes to the branding of their services.
The change is consistent with the changes to the organizations branding on a national level. Program Director with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County, Lynette Harbin, says the changes are to evolve how the public sees the organization.

"After months of research including focus groups with potential Bigs, as well as current Bigs, Littles, donors, staff, and leadership, it showed that the brand was not affectively conveying the urgent message or the urgent mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  And so to meet our goal of recruiting more volunteers, we needed a more modernized look and kind of a new brand positioning to emphasize the urgency of our mission and meet the need of our essential work in the community."

Harbin adds one of the biggest changes is to the organization's logo.

"When they did the market research, there was very few people that actually knew what our old logo stood for.  So we're hoping that the new look will bring the brand identity to something more recognizable with various demographics."
