Bearcats up 2 spots in AFCA Top 25

Northwest Missouri State football continues climbing the AFCA Coaches' Poll after collecting its third straight win.

The Bearcats (6-1) jump up two spots in the rankings to No. 11. 

Northwest dropped to No. 17 after a week four loss to Central Oklahoma. Since that game, the 'Cats have combined to outscore Emporia State, Pittsburg State and Nebraska Kearney 99-20.

Pittsburg State, who suffered its first loss of the season to Northwest in week six, dropped its second consecutive game last week to Fort Hays 50-21. That loss knocked them out of the AFCA poll leaving the Bearcats as the lone MIAA representative.

Northwest can run its win streak to four games this Saturday against Lindenwood. The Bearcats play in St. Charles at 1pm, Bearcat Gameday presented by Impact Interiors begins at noon on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9.
