Water & sewer projects discussed in City Council budget meeting

The Maryville City Council held a budget meeting prior to its regular meeting last night.
City Manager Greg McDanel says the council discussed some potential projects for the year regarding water and sewer.

"There are a few different projects that make sense for us this year - the south market waterline replacement as well as some private sanitary issues, especially a main trunk line out east.  That's about a $350,000 project to really ensure our sewer system has the capacity for community growth.  So that's going to be top priority for us, as well as making sure that our rates are in line with our needs for infrastructure."

McDanel adds the council will have more discussions on projects, but the focus of last night was the water and sewer projects.
