Joe Stock Music Festival this Labor Day Weekend

Every Labor Day weekend the Coleman Hawkins Park at Felix Street Square in Saint Joseph plays host to the annual Joestock Music festival. Vice President of the Saint Joseph Music Foundation, Michael Fuson, says JoeStock has become a Labor Day tradition.

"It's an outdoor concert that we do every year that features local area entertainers - some of them are solo acts, some of them are full bands.  And we also have swag and arts and food.  Things like that."

Fuson adds the festival is growing every year.

"The area that we reach is getting a little larger.  It used to be just St. Joe and this area here.  Now it's kind of expanded out into Kansas City.  We got some guys from Wichita coming up this year.  It's getting a little bigger every year."

The Joestock Music Festival is a two day celebration of the art of heartland music with the best of this regions musicians.
