Northwest Missouri State University's School of Education has announced Laura King has been named principal at Horace Mann Laboratory School as it prepares for the 2018-2019 academic year.
King has nearly 20 years of experience in the education field, previously working for St. Francis Xavier School in St. Joseph, Missouri as early childhood coordinator and a kindergarten teacher, and as a first and second grade teacher at Hosea Elementary School in St. Joseph.
King began her employment at Horace Mann in the fall of 2014. She worked there this past year as an instructor for a first and second grade, multi-age co-teaching classroom as well as an elementary practicum advisor.
