Missouri voters will have an opportunity to vote on a gas tax increase in the November election.
Missouri lawmakers approved the proposal during this year's General Assembly session. First District State Representative Allen Andrews, a Republican from Grant City, says the ballot measure would change the way Department of Transportation funds are used.
Andrews says if the measure passes in November, the sales tax on fuel will increase two and a half cents a gallon for the next four years totaling a ten cent increase by 2022.
