Fordyce named to lead USDA Farm Service Agency

A Harrison County native has been named administrator of the United States Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency. USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue announced that Richard Fordyce has been selected to lead FSA. Fordyce will oversee the agency which has more than 1,200 county and state offices around the country.

Fordyce previously served as the Missouri Director of Agriculture from 2013 to 2017. Most recently, Fordyce was the Missouri FSA executive director. Fordyce continues to operate his family farm in northwest Missouri and currently grows soybeans and corn, and raises beef cattle.
