As Mother's Day weekend approaches, the Brownville Concert Series is preparing for its second performance of the year.
The concert series will welcome Carole J. Bufford for three performances throughout the weekend featuring songs from the Fearless Females of the 1960s.
"It's just absolutley fabulous that we get her coming down here, and it's a perfect show for Mother's Day weekend," Jan Wright with the Brownville Concert Series said.
Bufford, a Georgia native, has earned fantastic reviews from the likes of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and brings a set to the Brownville Concert Series that is sure to impress.
"Some of the songs that Carole is going to be doing are from Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Carole King, Lesley Gore, Dionne Warwick, Shirley Bassey," Wright said. "Everyone will know who she is singing and probably will be singing along."
Bufford will perform at the Brownville Concert Series Friday, May 11 at 7:30pm, Saturday, May 12 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 13 at 2pm.
