Northwest's spring Ploghoft Diversity Lecture set for Tuesday night

This spring's Ploghoft Diversity Lecture on the Northwest Missouri State University campus features the founder of the Harbor Institute in Washington D.C., Rasheed Ali Cromwell.

The Harbor Institute is an educational consulting firm committed to partnering with institutions to achieve a shared mission of student success. Cromwell says his lecture tomorrow evening titled "I Never Saw It Like That" will challenge students and residents to be more open and understanding in relation to diversity and inclusion.

Cromwell will also hold an afternoon workshop tomorrow for Northwest education majors emphasizing cultural competency as students travel into professional education.

Tomorrow evening's lecture will be held in the Charles Johnson Theater of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building beginning 7 o'clock. The event is free and open to the public.
