The Maryville City Council reorganized last night following the swearing in of Matt Johnson and incumbent Jason McDowell following the April 3 election. The Council then elected last year's Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Martin to the mayor position. Martin says her past experience on the council will aid her as mayor and adds that she doesn't anticipate making any changes to the council's current goals.
Martin assumes the mayor position from Jason McDowell. Councilman Benjamin Lipiec was elected mayor pro tem.
