Maryville City Council approves restaurant lease agreement

The Maryville City Council this week formally approved a lease agreement with Brown Bread LLC for the operation of a farm to market restaurant located at the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park Conference Center. City Manager Greg McDanel says the agreement with the owners of the restaurant, which is to be called "William Coy," helps clarify the ownership of equipment used at the facility.

The lease agreement approved by the City Council runs for 36 months.

The owner of "The Farmhouse" restaurant in Kansas City, Michael Faust, will operate William Coy. Faust says the lease agreement is an important step to opening up the restaurant.

Faust anticipates William Coy to open for business on June 1.
