American Heart Association names May "American Stroke Month"

During the month of May -- American Stroke Month -- the American Heart Asssciation is encouraging Missouri residents to know the warning signs of a stroke.

Communications Director for the American Heart Association Julie Lay says that during this month, she wants people to know that strokes are preventable. Lay adds that checking your blood pressure often helps you reduce the probability of a stroke.
