Sen. McCaskill questioned Pentagon General Counsel nominee Paul Ney

Last week, during a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee to question Pentagon General Counsel nominee Paul Ney, Senator Claire McCaskill, a Democrat from Kansas City, brought up several questions about the Department of Defense and how Ney would deal with certain problems.

McCaskill's first point was on defense spending, which she says has gotten out of control in some areas. She then moved on to the Department of Defense's new assault regulations, which she says are a step in the right direction.

Ney said that, if confirmed, he would address the issues McCaskill brought up.
