Library offers coding workshops for kids

The Lied Public Library in Clarinda is offering a kids workshop on coding each month starting in March.

The workshop will teach kids, ages 4 to 16, the basics of coding with kid-friendly software and lessons. Library Director Andrew Hoppman says the idea for the course came from the Library's popular Minecraft club.

Classes will meet on the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m., starting Mar. 5. Each session will last about an hour.
