Trenton holds events to help veterans apply for a variety of programs

Several events geared towards veterans will be held in Trenton this month. On Friday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Trenton VFW Post 919, a veterans counselor will be present to assist veterans and family members. VFW Service Officer Wayne Kleidshmidt says this event will benefit all local families and veterans.

Kleidshmidt says there is an additional event on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. that will help veterans fill out all needed paperwork to receive various benefits.

If a veteran cannot attend either of the programs on Friday another session is planned for Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trenton HyVee to help veterans fill out paperwork. For more information about the event or about Veterans services call 660-359-2078
