Missouri House sends legislation to Senate to limit influence of lobbyists

The Missouri House of Representatives has had a busy beginning to its session. First District Representative Allen Andrews, a Republican from Grant City, says one of the major pieces of legislation passed through the house so far is an attempt to curb the influence of lobbyists in Jefferson City.

Curbing lobbyist influence in Jefferson City was a key point in Governor Eric Greitens' platform when he ran for the position in 2016. The bill passed with bipartisan support in the House, 134-12, and now heads to the Senate.
