Jefferson C-123 Board of Education meeting recap

The Jefferson C-123 Board of Education met in regular session Wednesday evening, and the highlight continues to be the new gymnasium. Since its opening in the fall, superintedent Tim Jermain says there have been several spot checks the gym has needed to reach completion.

During the meeting, the board also approved extending Jermain's contract as superintendent of the district through the 2019-2020 school year.

Additionally, there will be no formal election for the Jefferson C-123 Board of Education in April. Incumbent board member Jared McQueen and new member-in-waiting Dan Collins were the only persons to file for the two open positions on the board. Melissa Wilmes, the other board member whose term expires this year, decided not to run for re-election.
