The 7th annual Albany Rhythm 'N' Roots Festival kicks off at 6pm Saturday in downtown Albany.

Jamie Lin Wilson will open the concert, followed by Jeremy Plato and The Departed, and Cody Canada and The Departed cap the night.

Wilson – a rising star on the Texas country/folk scene – spoke with John Coffey about her career and the upcoming Albany Rhythm 'N' Roots Festival.
