MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway Community Theatre announced it's summer performance as "The Curious Savage," a comedy play by John Patrick.

Auditions will be held Friday, May 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rose Theatre in Maryville.

The show portrays a story of an elderly widow, having recently come into an inheritance on $10 million, disputes with her step-children over what should be done with the money.

Having opposing ideas, her children decide to commit her to a sanitarium in hopes that it will change her mind. According to Theatre Secretary Nina Dewhirst, there will be about six weeks of rehearsals.
