The Iowa High School Football Hall of Fame will be inducting a former Northwest Missouri State quarterback as part of the Class of 2023 this weekend.

Joel Osborn will stand alongside the best of the best from the Hawkeye State as he's enshrined in his home state. Osborn had a record-setting career at Harlan Community High School, piloting the Cyclones to a state championship in 2003. He set Harlan career marks with 6,216 passing yards and 76 touchdowns. He also set single-season highs throwing for 3,261 yards and 42 touchdowns.

At Northwest, Osborn was a 1st Team All-MIAA quarterback that led the Bearcats to 2 national championship appearances. After graduation, he began his coaching career in Maryville.

Now, as the head coach at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, Osborn has guided the Ravens to a 35-13 record across 4 seasons, including a run to the national quarterfinals. He was named All-Heart South Coach of the Year in 2022.

All of the Iowa High School Football Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during state championship games Thursday and Friday.
