Four Bearcats named to All-MIAA Volleyball squad

Four Northwest Missouri State volleyball players earned All-MIAA recognition Wednesday morning.

Abby Brunssen was a First Team All-Conference selection. The junior paced Northwest in kills (243), blocks (95) and points scored (296) throughout the season. This is the third straight year she's received postseason accolades.

Avery Kemp was named Second Team All-MIAA. Kemp is sixth in the league hitting .295 on the season. She has also posted 11 matches with double-figure kills.

Redshirt freshman Ella Caffery and junior Kyah Luhring were all-league honorable mention picks.

The Bearcats open conference tournament play Thursday at 2:30pm. Northwest faces Nebraska Kearney in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Tournament at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph.
