Teen Day Vaccinations to be held on August 9th

The city of St. Joseph Health Department and area Mosaic Life Care clinics which serve youth have selected August 9th to focus on on teen vaccinations.Clinic coordinator for St. Joseph Health Department Stevie Smith says the day is focused on 8th and 12th grade vaccinations.

"The Teen Day is going to be held on August 9th.  It's kind of an awareness day - trying to get kids in to be vaccinated, particularly 8th and 12th graders.  We want to get them vaccinated before that first day of school.  We see a really large influx of kids on the day before, the day of, and the day after.  So we're trying to get them in before."

The health department clinic in St. Joseph is open Monday through Friday for vaccinations from 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm.
