St. Joseph Museum to host local author

The St. Joseph Museum hosts a local author next week for a special reading of his works.

Charles S. Pinzino, a St. Joseph native, will read selected passages from his book, "Like Sunlight Falling into Water: Poetics Along the Way to the Horizon". St. Joseph Museum Public Relations Officer, Kathy Reno, says that Pinzino's book will strike notes with those living in the midwest.

"Charles Pinzino has a long history with the museum. He goes clear back to the St. Joseph Museums Prairie Festival days, because he's also a musician in addition to being a writer. He's written about life in the midwest and the heartland for over 50 years, and then he decided he would collect it into a book. It's poems and stories – he says 'I talk about everything from everday life to the exceptional beauty of nature around me and the funny stories that happened.'"

This event is open to the public. Pinzino begins his reading at 1:45pm next Saturday, July 27th at the Wyeth-Tootle Manson.
