A new, smoother surface is coming to Interstate 29 in Holt County.
The Missouri Department of Transporation contracted Hetzog Contracting Corporation to resurface I-29 between Route 118 and U.S Route 59 in Holt County. The contractor plans to resurface the southbound lanes first beginning today. They will begin at Route 118 in Mound City and proceed south to U.S Route 59 near exit 67. I-29 will be reduced to one lane around the work. When the southbound road is complete, they will move to the northbound driving lane. They will repeat this pattern with the passing lanes and shoulders.
All work must be completed before October 1st.
