Two Caldwell County residents suffer serious injuries

Two Caldwell County residents suffered serious injuries over the weekend after a two vehicle accident in Caldwell County on Missouri 116, one and a half miles east of Cowgill.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Cowgill resident, Justin Blakley, was southbound Route B and 25-year-old Cowgill resident, Michael Clark, was eastbound on Missouri 116 when Blakley failed to stop at the stop sign and turned right on Missouri 116. Blakley turned wide and crossed the centerline hitting Clark's truck in the left front ejecting 18-year-old Cowgill resident Riley Coon from the passenger seat of Blakley's car causing both vehicles off the south side of Missouri 116.

Both Blakley and Coon were taken by Lifeflight Helicopter to Liberty Hospotal for treatment of serious injuries.
