Three local schools awarded grants

The American Heart Association has awarded grants to three local schools as a part of their inaugural Kids Heart Challenge.

Northeast Nodaway Elementary in Ravenwood, Kingston 42 School in Kingston, and the North Harrison School District in Eagleville will all receive funding totalling over $5000 through the Kids Heart Challenge Grant Program.
The grants were awarded based on the intended impact on health or well being of the staff and students, the identified meausures for evaluating success, and the sustainability for lasting impact in the schools.

The grants can be used to apply for physical activity equipment, staff wellness resources, playground or recreation space improvement, music and dance resources, among others.
