The Rose Lowenstein Foundation hosts their annual RoseFest this weekend

The Rose Lowenstein Foundation hosts their annual festival, RoseFest, this weekend at the Elks Lodge in Cameron Missouri. Organizer Billy Lowenstien says his family started the foundation to support other families in the surrounding areas.

"....formed the Foundation and turned it into an annual festival.  In 2017,  helped out the Robeson family from Lawson.  In 2018, expanded it and helped out five different families from all over northwest Missouri.  Here we are today coming up on the 4th annual, 3rd on under the Foundation, 4th if you count the year that was for us."

Lowenstien says he wants to help others just as they supported his family and Rose through her treatments. Lowenstien says Rose is doing well today.

"Rose is fantastic.  If you didn't know any better, you'd never know anything happened.  She had the stroke when it all started in April 2016.  She's about three and a half now.  She'll be four in November.  She had the stroke and she is fully recovered from that.  For the last two years, she's been fine.  She never had any chemo, radiation, nothing so she had no side effects from any treatment.  She has no side effects from her cancer.  No side effects from her stroke.  She's just a healthy normal three-year-old little girl.  It's a miracle."

Join the Lowestiens at RoseFest this weekend on Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Cameron, Missouri. The festivities and live music from 20 bands begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end around 1:30 a.m. Highlighting the festival will be Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder performing at seven o'clock.
