Robotics workshop for kids to be held on July 26th

A Robotics event for St. Joseph area kids is coming up next month. St. Joseph's Museum's Curator of Collections Sarah Elder says the event is July 26 this year.
Elder says there are two sessions for two children age groups.

"One is a morning session for younger students entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  And then the afternoon session is for students entering 4th through 6th grades."

Elder says the children will receive hands on experience when building their own robot creation.

"Kamigami Scarrax robots - and it's a kit - and this resembles a scorpion- that they can put together and is robotic."

Elder says the cost of the event is $25 and event will be this July.

"We're going to have our 2nd annual robotics workshop.  And robotics is a big thing now.  It was so successful last year with these hands-on workshops that we decided to do it again.  So this year it is Friday, July 26th and it's actually going to be held at our Wyath-Tootle Mansion."
