Public hearing to be held on July 16th on Wind Generation Facility

The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing in Rock Port on July 16th over a case filed by Union Electric Company and Ameren Electric seeking Commission Authority and a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity to construct, own and operate an approximate 299 Megawatt Wind Generation Facility in Atchision County.

Spokesperson for the Missouri Public Service Commission, Kevin Kelly, says during the first half of the meeting, the general public will get the chance to participate in a question and answer session with members of the PSC and Ameren Missouri officials.

"It's important that if they have a question that they ask it during that part of the local public hearing process.  Because once we start with the commissioners and the judge in attendance, they will be taking comments from people who want to make a public comment with regards to the case."

The hearing will begin at noon on July 16th at the Atchison County Extension Office in Rock Port.
