Public Affairs Coffee to be be held Tuesday

Missouri State Legislators will be addressing the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce next week at the Public Affairs Coffee event to discuss what was and wasn't accomplished during the last legislative session and answer any questions. The Public Affairs Coffee is a quarterly event that showcases topics and speakers that are relevant to the current legislative talking points or community concerns. Director of Communication & Marketing, Kristi Bailey, says around this time each year, Missouri State legislators are invited to help them get feedback from their constituents that could help guide them into the next legislative session.

"Usually the way that it works is each legislator will have a certain amount of time when they can speak about certain things they're proud of that they worked on during the session.  Each legislator gets a certain amount of time and then we open it up for questions from the audience."

The Public Affairs Coffee is set for Tuesday morning at 7:30 at the Metropolitan located at 107 South Sixth Street in St. Joseph.
