North Nodaway Board of Ed raises meal prices and approves technology purchases

The North Nodaway Board of Education recently held their June meeting. Items on the agenda included milk, propane, and garbage bids for the 2019-2020 school year, as well as setting the date for the budget meeting. Superintendent James Simmelink says the board also raised food prices for the upcoming year.

"We changed food prices.  The cost of a lunch for both the elementary and middle school/high school went up ten cents.  The cost of an adult meal went up ten cents.  And the price of breakfast for everybody went up ten cents."

Also on the agenda was the approval of technology purchases for the district.

"We are adding new servers in both the middle school/high school building and the elementary building as we are updating that trying to increase some speed.  We purchased some Chromebooks recently for student use and needed the additional speed and power, sort of speak, on the server side."
