Mound City Board of Ed approves bills and discusses Medicare services

The Mound City Board of Education met recently.

Items on the agenda included approval of bills, federal and state program participation, and the preliminary budget for the 2019-2020 school year.

Superintendent Ken Eaton says the board also discussed the Medicaid Administrative Claiming Cooperative Addendum with MO HealthNet.

"Medicare services that certain kids might qualify for - speech pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy.  We can actually bill for those services that are provided at school by our people.  But we have to adopt the addendum each year and the cooperative agreement each year to be able to do those administrative claiming services."

The board also approved bids for a parking lot and a retaining wall. The next board of education meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 17th.
