Missouri Division Tourism awards Maryville grant money

The Missouri Division Tourism has awarded the City of Maryville and the Maryville Chamber of Commerce grant money to be used by the local Tourism Committee. Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says the city has been awarded to $4,014 dollars for website development to further enhance local tourism.

"Currently we are completing the final end of a Knactive project with Northwest Missouri State University.  And we'll be selecting our logo and branding here shortly which will then take some of this funding from the state and be able to push that forward."

The Maryville Chamber of Commerce will receive 4,750 dollars to assist in a rebranding effort. The Chamber will work with a brand consulting firm out of Nashville, Tennessee called Chandlerthinks, LLC on the project.
Funding for the City's local match for the grants come from the Transient Guest Tax Fund approved by Maryville voters in November 2016.
