Harrison County MU Extension celebrates 100 years on July 27th

The Harrison County Extension of the University of Missouri is inviting people of all ages to help celebrate 100 years of extension service in Harrison County on July 27th.

Events planned for the day will provide an opportunity for the public to get a closer look at programming available through the MU extension, along with helping to raise funds to support future programming.

Agronomy field specialist Andy Luke says the day will start with a 5K fun run in the morning.

"And then after that we're going to have an open house and we're going to be serving some lunch throughout the day for people to come through.    And then we're going to have an open house with a lot of the specialists that cover the county.  They're going to be having fun events for kids and adults, kind of showing some of the programing we do throughout the year.   Then in the afternoon we're going to be having a cornhole tournament here on the square in Bethany.    So it's going to be pretty fun and hopefully a lot of people will come out and enjoy the day."

More information about the Harrison County Extension Century Celebration in Bethany can be found online at www.Extension.Missouri.Edu/Harrison or by calling The Harrison County Extensions Office.
