Free Fishing Weekend for MO is this weekend

The Missouri Department of Conservation's annual free fishing weekend is this Saturday and Sunday. Nodaway County Conservation Agent Nate Carr says it's a greet way for people new to the sport to enjoy fishing on the state's waterways.

"It's an opportunity to get out and fish before buying a fishing permit to see if you really like it well enough to commit to the purchase.  Not that our permits cost very much anyway, but this just provides an extra opportunity for people to take their families out, get out, and not worry about having a fishing permit.  A lot of the regulations still apply such as length limits, the number of fish you can keep.  There's a lot of other regulations that people need to keep in mind."

Again, this weekend is Free Fishing Weekend in the state of Missouri.   More information on the weekend and Missouri's fishing rules and regulation's are available on the Missouri Department of Conservation website.
