Daviess County vehicle passenger suffers serious injuries in accident

A Daviess County man is in serious condition after a two vehicle accident yesterday morning in Clinton County on Interstate 35, 2 miles South of Cameron.  According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Gallatin resident, Eric Teel, and 52-year-old Texas resident, Alfred Guzman, were both southbound on I-35 when Teel traveling at a high speed attempted to pass Guzman's commercial truck. Teel struck the rear left corner of the towed unit causing Guzman to spin coming to rest on the median. The occupant in Teel's vehicle, 24-year-Gallatin resident, Wesley Calloway, was taken by Cameron EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
