A Kansas City man is in serious condition after a one vehicle accident yesterday in Buchanan County on southbound Interstate 229 at the 1 mile marker in St. Joseph.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 25-year-old Christopher Wilkes was northbound on I-229 when his vehicle travelled in and out of the median, skidding off the south side of the roadway. Wilkes' vehicle then overturned across southbound I-229 ejecting him from the vehicle before coming to rest on its wheels off the south side of southbound I-229. Wilkes was transported by Buchanan County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in serious condition.
